Sabina Ptacin, Chief Excitement Officer
Serving as Chief Excitement Officer of Collective-E is a perfect fit for co-founder Sabina Ptacin, namely because it allows her to combine her passion for teaching (her first career) with her current passion outside of Collective-E, her role as co-founder and President of Red Branch Public Relations. The New York City boutique agency specializes in public relations and creative strategy, and directs the campaigns of several well known lifestyle and fashion brands, as well as leading industry and business experts. In addition to working with her own clients, Sabina enjoys reaching out as a mentor, expert, and teacher to entrepreneurs and small business owners, coaching them in regards to both their in-house campaigns as well as sharing the tricks of the trade needed to leverage press and media opportunities in order to grow their businesses and their dreams.
In keeping with her mission to be an avid supporter of young and growing companies as they enter into the jungle of public relations and brand management, Sabina joined Beth Schoenfeldt and Katie Hellmuth in 2008 as co-founder of Collective-E, where among the many hats she wears, she serves as the public relations/branding expert and guide, as well as the company’s roving reporter via the Collective Insider series, pr ninja, pr therapist, and connector.
Due to her careers as a former high school political science and history teacher, she still savors teachable moments and enjoys the chance to be back in the educator’s chair again via Collective-E. She is thrilled to be able to spend time finding as many ways as possible to level the pr playing field for small business owners via Collective-E. Sabina believes that entrepreneurship is the new black and is excited to able to help as many women experience it as possible.
Outside of work, Sabina enjoys time out with family, friends, good books, music, and finding time for a weekly adventure. A graduate of the University of Michigan, she originally hails from the mid-west, though now happily calls New York home.
Katie Hellmuth Martin, Chief Experience Officer
Katie Hellmuth Martin is an entrepreneurista, who loves igniting ideas and helping them grow. Katie runs a boutique web development agency, Katie James Pixelated, which is the digital division of her accessories designer label, Katie James. As Co-Founder of Collective-E, Katie brings the love of function, ease of use and pleasing visuals to the table when developing Collective-E.com, the online platform for members nation-wide. Every benefit created for Collective-E members has these basic needs in mind, in order to get the most impact out of the smallest action.
Katie graduated with a BA in Communications from the College of Charleston in South Carolina, where she dabbled in all she could before graduating, including selling newspaper ads, serving as the editor in chief for the literary magazine, and directing a college produced play.
Katie resides in New York City with her husband David, dog Gerdy, and two cats Oliver and Dinah.
Chelsea Moser, Membership Director
A self-proclaimed work-a-holic and serial entrepreneur, Chelsea Moser knows what it takes to build a solid and long-lasting business from the ground up.
Chelsea brings years of social media marketing, trade-show/event marketing, direct response marketing and brand management to the mix of Collective-E. She embraces her role as the director of the membership division for Collective-E and is extremely passionate about supporting Collective-E members by nurturing their ideas and helping them build their brands.
Her entrepreneurial journey started after finishing school and immediately jumping into a “traditional,” yet well paying job in the corporate sector. She soon realized her out-of-the box thinking and tech-savviness was better served working directly with small business owners struggling to break-into the world of online marketing.
It was this combination of entrepreneurship coupled with corporate and business development roots that caused her small business marketing firm, Solomar, to take off immediately after launch in 2006. Before she knew it, Chelsea had clients from all over the United States and eventually earned the position of Managing Director for the Family Wealth Planning Institute.
When she’s not lovingly up to her eyeballs in work, Chelsea adores spending time with her family and basking in the great outdoors. This includes playing team sports, water sports or anything competitive just for the adrenaline rush it brings.
Chelsea is equally passionate about using her online influence to make a real difference in the world. To achieve this goal, she created a social network entitled, “Help Chelsea Give” to spread the word and raise money for non-profit organizations in need across the United States. She’s also the Social Media Director for Best Day Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to helping special needs children enjoy water sports and other outdoor activities.
Chelsea's heart is in the Midwest (born and raised in North Dakota), but she currently resides in Florida, taking in the beauty of the ocean and taking full advantage of living on the beach.
